Welcome to 7th infinity, a website designed to carry the torch of the internet of old.
This is a place for me to practice my web design skills and hopefully inspire people to design their own unique corners of the web.
It's a far- fetched dream, but hey you never know :-)
This is NOT a place for nostalgia baiting and posts that go "heyyy, remember this?! didn't the internetz use to be kewl?!".
Why make a 3-minute slideshow of "Frutiger Aero" pictures with sad music, when you can instead take notes from the designs,
make your own works, and in the process maybe develop your own style?
I too used to just gush over the web of old like some still do, until I discovered the website of Double Aught.
Randy Reddig did an amazing job and I was inspired to make something of my own. Two years of on-and-off studying of HTML and Photoshop
and
that "something" ended up being the homepage of this website. Even though I've never taken web design classes, I still made something
and I feel proud of it, dammit!
And you can too! If you can find the willpower to search for things from the internet of old, you can just as easily gather yourself some sources of
inspiration and use them to design your own cool- looking webpage!
The aesthetic of the modern internet is a souless corporate wasteland, and we can fight it. Together.
